On Monday, April 27, 2020, we sent the Ministers mentioned below a letter containing a National Call to Action to address housing needs as part of a Post-Covid Canadian economic stimulus package. This paper was the product of the collaboration of over 40 housing advocates and researchers lead by HRC’s Director Dr. Penny Gurstein and Dr. Carolyn Whitzman. Prior to its submission, the Call to Action was publicly endorsed by over 70 organizations and 150 individuals across the country.
