To assist our mandate to promote housing research in BC, Mitacs has affirmed support for 45 internships over a 3-year period from September 2018 to September 2021. Mitacs matches a $7,500 (plus GST) contribution from private, non-profit and certain crown corporation partner organizations to provide interns with $15,000 to conduct research for a number of hours equivalent to 4 months of full-time work. Internships can start at any time, but it is expected that the intern will have opportunities for daily interaction with the partner organization for at least 50% of the internship. If you represent an organization with housing research needs, or you are a UBC graduate student with a passion for housing research, contact Craig E. Jones, Research Coordinator for the HRC.
